Anyone whose taken a history cl dealing with the 1980s should read D'Sousa's book on Reagan. It captures the Reagan haters perfectly and shows why they were all so wrong. It's incredible how exactly the anti-Reagan professors I had are described in the book and then debunked. Read it to get the real story on things like why Reagan wasn't "just acting" as his critics charged; why he was more than just a "great communicator"; why he outsmarted the "wise men"--all the journalists, government policy wonks, and academics; why Reagan truly was the greatest president in the last half of the 20th century.
