Feverishly trying to get my message to GW Bush and Rush but to no avail - cannot access Rush, and mail was returned from the Bush site. Thinking that I had invented the McCain Mutiny idea - the title of my E-mail message, and then waking to find the cover of Time with the caption! I did write to Chris Matthews and it was received, but probably never read. I adore him as I do Rush, believing that this keeps my political views in balance, up to date, and now hearing sound bites of Hardball on Rush Limbaugh I am thrilled. I wait for the day that these two appear together, as guests or duo-hosts of each other! Hoping that there is a mutual respect between the two of them...but my purpose of writing tonight to "someone" out there that might hear me - was to just mention that my gut feeling about John McCain which for so long tugged at my heart was answered. I stood by my heart felt conviction for Bush, holding fast from jumping on the McCain bandwagon that seemed to be calling me. I still hope each day that George W. "does the next right thing" in this campaign - speaking from his heart and staying away from the note cards, etc. There is so much ahead, and I will continue to hope for party unity and all of these things, but longing for GW to shine as I truly believe he is capable of. There was just something about McCain that troubled me, and the night that he spoke to Maria Shriver in such a tone, I was not shocked. There was a mean spirited tone in him that I picked up on very early...old news now. But the worst is yet to come. Al Gore will not show this type of trait openly, but it is there. Let's all brace ourselves and hope that the women of this country open there eyes and see what we really need to see. Look to Laura Bush and they might start to pick up this honesty and trust factor that I have felt so strongly. If things don't pan out, then we'll just have another Democrat in the White House, but the Republicans will continue to run the country through other means, as it has been! I'm just sick and tired of the Dem's taking too much of the credit...Thank's for reading, and my best to all -
