Thanks Rush. "The truth will set us free." I pray that we win this race agaist Clinton's corruption. I simply don't know how to say thank you enough but I guess feeling respect and pride for what you do for this country should be a start! Please read attached. The Cuban American community is uniting with other groups to Boycott CNN for the propaganda that it spread against the Elian Gonzalez, his family and the entire Cuban American community. It was the media that once again, affected the tolls by presenting biased informationl. Thanks Again. We'll keep you posted and listening to your show also!

A case against Civil Rights
I am writing with great concern regarding the sequence of events leading to the grotesque kidnaping of Elian Gonzalez. Notice how I use the word kidnaping, fully aware of its implications, as this is the only word that adequately describes this event. As it stands to date, what has occurred on this sad day has no precedence in United States .
The Elian Gonzalez tragedy is an event of relevance, not only to Elian, his relatives or the entire Cuban community, but a matter that concerns the entire American population as well. We live in a country that has had a history of intolerance for governmental imposition and oppression. Many battles have been fought, much blood has been shed for the sake of freedom and much more has been done to protect the liberty that until now we have enjoyed in the United States.
As American citizens, we can go to sleep at night, confident in the knowledge that no governmental entity, like the “gestapo,” is going to invade the privacy of our homes in the middle of the night and kidnap one of our beloved ones from an unarmed, law abiding, hard- working citizen’s home.
What can we say, when the President of our country himself ignores the law and uses unnecessary force with a family whose only “crime” has been to love, care and protect a young boy that shares their bloodline. The Judicial order from the 11th Court of Appeals in Atlanta dictated Lazaro Gonzalez was to remain legal guardian of Elian Gonzalez until the date of trial to process Elian’s request for asylum in this country. This legal decree has been violated by our own President, who, of his own accord, determined to use forceful entry: Using tear gas, automatic ault weapons and seriously injuring various protesters that stood in peaceful demonstration at the family’s doorsteps.
This is not a simple matter of reuniting a young boy with his father (as the president has made every effort to present to the American public.) There is a lot more involved and a lot more that has not been taken into consideration or openly discussed with the American public.
As far as I am concerned, it is not to the benefit of a young boy that recently survived the death of his mother, while finding refuge in the arms of his caring cousin, to have a heavily armed SWAT team enter the place he has known as home in the middle of the night, have an automatic ault weapon pointing at his face, while other armed men force him into a van amidst crying, rush and violence. I find this absolutely intolerable in a country that stands for freedom and justice!
Has President Clinton discussed the whereabouts of Elian’s grandmothers in Cuba or why is it so important for Castro to get this young boy back when so many others have “escaped” his communist regime and seek asylum in the United States? Has President Clinton taken into consideration or talked about the thousands of mothers and fathers living in the United States (the majority of them currently American citizens) that continually seek permission from the Cuban government to see their children and continually get denied permission by Castro? Why is Castro in this case, so in favor of reuniting father-son even against the boy’s wishes?
Has President Clinton provided an explanation to the American public as to why Elian’s father was no where to be found for the first five months after Elian’s tragic ordeal, including watching his own mother drown for freedom’s sake. Why hasn’t Clinton considered or spoken about the domestic abuse committed by Elian’s father against Elian and his mother? What kind of father would consent to have his child removed from a his relative’s home at gun point risking fatally wounding his own child? Who is really behind this scheme?
Why were the Gonzalez’s family members, the only family around this child during this critical time, to provide love and support, teach him how to smile again, teach him even how to walk again? Where was his father then? Why all of a sudden this obsession with getting the boy back to Cuba? Why is even our government all of a sudden, eagerly responding to Castro’s personal political agenda? What’s the truth behind this political plot between Castro and Clinton?
Has our president heard Elian speak on his own behalf? To my knowledge, children in this country are able to speak up regarding any form of abuse and by law are protected from abusive situations. What is so different about Elian? Why isn’t he heard first, in lawful proceedings, like the law mandates in this country, before action is taken? Is he also exempt from international laws that protect children all over the world?
Furthermore, has Clinton considered the fact that Elian will never be able to reunite with his family in America once he leaves the United States, since freedom is not a right Cuban citizens get to enjoy? Will Elian and his family in Cuba be safe after all that has been said in the International media or will Castro use them as example and punish them publicly as he has done so many times before to innocent citizens? Let’s not forget, Cuba is still one the few dictatorship and communistic regime left in the world?
Can the action taken on the wee hours of the night, possibly be in the best interest of a young boy that has known no other family except the Gonzalez’s for the last months of his life? Is this what Clinton would want for his own child?.. To be delivered into the hands of a regime that has been internationally condemned for its violations of human rights? Who is this Clinton to determine what is best for this young boy without a lawful trial, experts’ advise, or the concerns that the boy’s family living in America have expressed? How is it that this President Clinton get to act on what he determines is best for the child? Since when do we live in a totalitarian government ruled by a dictator that breaks the laws that its citizens abide by every day? Since when does the Federal Government orders a group of family members not visit their own relative? This is not communist Russia or Germany, or are we beginning to act that way?
The American public is not that blind and actions speak for themselves. We should all be aware by now, as history has demonstrated time after time, that the destruction of a country doesn’t just happen overnight. It happens little by little when its citizens choose to ignore injustices that may seem insignificant at the time or when a minority doesn’t stand up against governmental oppressive behavior.
As American citizens we should all be concerned with what happened today in our country. We should not forget what America stands for: Freedom and justice for all. Not just for some groups, not just for the president of a country or the rulers of its government. Let’s not forget about Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and other European countries where people’s rights were taken away little by little, until one day there was freedom no more. The members of the Gonzalez’s family are citizens of our country as well. They are our law-abiding neighbors, a loving family that stands firm for freedom and family values, just like the rest of us in America. Shouldn’t we join the Gonzalez plea for justice while we still can? Whose family is going to be next? Perhaps yours or your neighbors’. There is urgency regarding this unprecedented and cowardly action taken by our government against one of its American families.
Do we now perhaps need to be afraid, or intimidated by a government that acts of its own accord, using whatever means of force it deems fit? The Cuban people also want to be heard. They have worked hard to earn their freedom and have become faithful and patriotic citizens of the United States. Why is no one talking about the inhuman conditions that Castro has implanted in his place of total dominion and oppression? Why are there so many Cubans willing even to risk their own lives, to leave their country of birth and seek unknown frontiers?
Perhaps more importantly, is why the Unites States is even negotiating with a man who has total disregard of human rights, freedom of expression and disrespect for what the Cuban majority may want or need? A man who has been ociated with the Columbian, Mexican and Panamanian as well as others, mafia and drug cartels, with supporting guerrilla forces to our neighbors in Latin America aiming to eradicate any democratic governments along the way. A man who has formed alliances with every single one of America’s enemies that still stand for communism, lack of freedom of expression and justice for all. Are not forty years of dictatorship enough in any country? Can the Cuban people finally vote Castro out without risking being beaten, going to jail, having their families d or put to death simply for wanting freedom? Is this the country that we want to send Elian to? Is removing Elian abruptly from his family in America, without regard for the abuse he will endure under the communist regime of Castro, what’s really best for Elian? Or will he be one of the many, like his own mother, who will later drown at sea in search for freedom and justice? May God protect the children of Cuban mothers.
Who is going to speak on behalf of Elian Gonzalez, since he is not allowed to speak on his own behalf? Why is our “democratic” government holding Elian hostage? Where is Elian Gonzalez really at? Can we trust President Clinton and his staff to tell us the truth after all we have seen already? Why hasn’t the media been allowed to visit Elian in this “exclusive”compound? Why such a contrast from the open-door, nothing to hide, no political agendas, anyone can visit, mentality of the Gonzalez’s family? Why aren’t the Miami family members, “free” American citizens of America, not allowed to visit their own flesh and blood? Could this possibly be what’s in the best for little Elian, who has had no other family members close by to depend on after the tragic death of his mother, except the Gonzalez’s.
Who is going to speak on behalf of Elian Gonzalez? Has the “indoctrination” of Elian already started, right here in our country in what could be considered a very private and exclusive concentration camp, where no one is allowed in except for whoever Castro and Clinton determine suited to see him? Do we know what medications or injections are given to Elian, a healthy boy that never needed medication before? Why is there always a white bandage shown in his arm from all recent photographs taken of Elian from his exclusive prison? We demand to know the truth.
As hard working Americans, we would rather not see what’s going on right now. We are too busy with our daily schedules. We would rather not mistrust or question our present government. We would rather not worry or inconvenience ourselves, change the “status quo” of things. We would rather look the other way. But the question is, can we really afford that luxury right now? And if we look the other way again, how many concentrations camps could slowly be formed? How many American homes could be raided in the middle of the night by a heavily armed SWAT team? How many more media cameras be shut, how many peaceful demonstrators be injured or put imprisoned for going against a president’s personal agenda? How many more exclusives compounds will be formed where not even the closest relatives can visit?!!
America this is the time to speak up. Will you speak against this violation of human rights? Will you speak against child abuse, indoctrination under a communistic regime and lack of freedom for the rest of someone’s life?
It may sound far fetched, it may sound uncomprehensible, but the pictures and the facts speak for themselves. Let’s wake-up from our dream world in which no problems ever arise. Let’s face this not-so-pleasant reality, of this human injustice, but more importantly, let’s do something about it. Because next time, maybe it could be your family or your neighbor’s family that gets raided in the middle of the night by a federal SWAT team.
This is our current reality and it’s up to us to put it to a screeching halt.
To you Clinton, I say, “your lies are big enough to fill the ocean of tears cried by the Cuban mothers that claim justice and freedom for their children.”
May God bless America and protect us from the dangerous grip of indifference and inertia against lack of freedom and violation of human rights. Let’s not forget, Germany didn’t happen that long ago. .. Let’s not go to sleep now when there’s a fire burning out of control.
