There has been nervousness on the , fights ensued in the streets, animosity grew in places where people socially interacted and gathered for common interests. The market was hurt, retirement funds for the elderly, possibly suffered severe damage. All week I talked to people in a daze, people expressing uncertainties about the future, shaking their heads in disbelief. This hanging doom over all of us, this sense of loss, this fear of the unknown, the split that has occurred between the cles, the ages, the races, the political arenas; all of this should be enough to make us all feel terribly sad, concerned about the hellish place this country is heading to, the shaky grounds we walk everyday. Perhaps this is how countries feel when they are at war.
